Fin de semaine NAHBS week end

Pour ceux et celles qui ne le savent pas, en fin de semaine c'est le North American Handmade Bicycle Show. Ça vaut la peine d'y jeter un oeil

For those who don't know, this week end there is the North American Handmade Bicycle Show. It wortk looking.

Est-ce que le pentathlon va  avoir lieu en fin de semaine? J'espère que oui! Moi les conditions adverses ça me motive au plus haut point! Mon départ est à 11h00 samedi matin pour ceux que ça intéresse. Pour les autres, bonne fin de semaine.

Does the pentathlon will take place this weekend? I hope so! Rough conditions really motivates me! My start is at 11h00 Satruday morning for those who matter. For the rest, have a nice week end.

Peinture / Paint

Trois cadres à la peinture:

• Le cyclotoursime d'aventure de Bruno sera rouge brique
• Le cadre de papa Golem s'est fait pourvoir d'une attache de frein à disque et nous le repeignons des mêmes couleurs sauf que cette fois par un bon peintre (EXOR).
• Le cadre et la fourche du Symbiosis de Jean-Raymond seront peints noir et bleu comme les Focus de l'équipe Milram d'il y a deux ans et aussi cette fois par un bon peintre (EXOR).

Le gabarit du rolohffator s'en vient. Je pourrai donc souder ça bientôt.

Three frames at the painter:

• The adventure cyclotourer of Bruno will be brick red.
• Papa Golem's frame got a disk brake bracket and will be painted the same except this time by a good painter (EXOR).
• Jean-Raymond Symbiosis frame and fork will be painted black and blue like the Milram colnagos from two years ago and this time by a good painter too (EXOR)

The jig for the rohloffator is comming along so I'll begin welding soon.

Rhume / Cold

J'ai attrapé un rhume. Hier c'était passable mais aujourd'hui, c'est terrible. Pas de fabrication, ni d'entrainement en fin de semaine si ça ne va pas mieux...

Il faut que je sois en forme pour le Penthatlon des neiges. Je fais la partie vélo de l'équipe SF-expédition. Si nous finissons sur le podium, Victor nous paye un souper!

I got a cold. Yesterday was'nt too bad but today it's terrible. No fab. or training this week end if it does'nt get better...

I got to be in shape for the Winter Penthatlon. I'm doing the bike leg for the SF-expedition team. If we get on the podium Victor is paying the lunch!

Travail de la fin de semaine / Week end work

Heu... Comme c'était ma fête samedi j'en ai profité pour passer du temps en famille. On recommence cette semaine!

Well... Since it was my birthday Saturday I took some time off with the familly. We get back at it this week!

Championnats canadiens de Single Speed Canadian Championship

Bonne nouvelle! Vais-je y aller... Je pourrais aller surfer en même temps.

Prince Edward Island to Host First Ever

Canadian Single Speed Championships In 2010

September 25th and 26th, 2010 will be Prince Edward Island's time to shine as it presents the first openly advertised Canadian Single Speed Championships (CSSC).

50 kilometres of beautiful yet difficult rolling single-track awaits single speeders from Victoria to Halifax, between and beyond during what is arguably the most beautiful time of year for our sport. And although the title will go to the first male and female Canadians to cross the finish line, riders from around the globe are more than welcome to make this race even better.

To make the 2010 CSSC happen in true single speed style, there will be live music before and after the race , great food, and of course plenty of Canada's favourite beverage. Race organiser Eric Cudmore states "I want everyone to have as much fun as possible. That's my main concern.” What better person to host the CSSC than a three time Single Speed World Championships participant as well as former brew master. Prizes for male and female winners are top secret for now, but will definitely be worth the gruelling effort. There will also be awards for best dressed, and for the racer who travelled the furthest to get to PEI. Of course several other none traditional awards and door prizes will be given out.

Échantillon headbadge sample

Voici le premier échantillon du nouvel headbadge de Cycles Golem. C'est de l'inox 304 découpé au laser et gravé par Jean Caron de TeknoGrav. J'aime beaucoup le résultat.

Péril sur la glace / Peril on the ice

En fouillant sur le ouèbe l'autre jour et j'ai retrouvé cette photo de moi. Moi je suis sous le canot... j'ai été quitte pour quelques ecchymoses.

Pour les non-inités, à Québec quelques personnes font du canot sur le fleuve Saint-Laurent à moitié gelé. Suiviez le lien pour quelques images, ça vous donnera une bonne idée. Si vous voulez un aperçu c'est comme faire du canot, de la course à pied, du vélo de montagne et du rugby en même temps! J'en ai fait pendant trois ans avec Eric Boudreault, Benoît Simard, Mario et  Louis avec Bagel Tradition'l.

I was browsing the web the other day and I found this picture of me. I'm under the ice canoe... I got a few bruises but I finished the race

For those who don't know, here in Quebec City, we are crossing the half frosted Saint-Laurent river on special canoe. Follow the link for a few picture, you'll have an idea. If you want to know how it is, it is like rowing, trail running, mountain bike and playing rugby all together! I did this for three years with Eric, Ben, Mario and Louis with the Bagel Tradition'l team.
